I thought our van needed new brakes, so I took it in to Joe's Automotive telling them to look over the vehicle and replace the brakes. Lance called back after the initial inspection and told me there was still a good amount of life on them. I so appreciate honesty and integrity with local companies. It means they are really looking out for our vehicles best interest! From now on, I will be taking our cars to Joe's because of the friendly staff and most importantly, their honesty!!

My wife recently called to say that our car wouldn’t start and that she was stuck downtown. I had her call Joe’s Automotive right away. They were fantastic. Joe even offered to go meet her and the toe truck if she needed it. We were able to get the car to his shop that afternoon. They diagnosed the problem after some troubleshooting and had us up and running the next day. I am confidant that Joe and his crew did us right. I have used Joe’s a number of time now and I am continually impressed with the level of professionalism and genuine care. I feel that they truly have my best interest in mind when they are working on our cars. I would recommend Joe’s Automotive to all without hesitation

I had my check engine light come on last Friday evening. Suspecting it was a fuel pump or sensor issue, I brought my '99 Tacoma to Joe on Saturday afternoon. He was able to fit me in despite being pretty busy. Joe determined the issue (MAF sensor needed to be replaced), and gave me a quote. I called another shop and let him know of their quote, and he was able to find the Denso part they were using, and match that price. After that was all completed, I picked his brain about an unfortunate appointment i had at another shop. He gave me his opinion on what had happened, and I really appreciate him taking his time to explain that to me.

Joe's automotive is amazing!! They took great care of my vehicle and even let me borrow their loaner car while my car was being worked on at no extra charge! They are trustworthy and upfront with their costs. I am 100% satisfied and would recommend this company to friends and family.

I had recently moved to Bellingham and had not yet found a good mechanic to care for my vehicle. After hearing from several locals and reading through reviews, I decided to give Joe's a shot. I was so glad I did! This is without a doubt the finest repair shop I have ever been to in terms of quality of work and service. The gentleman that assisted me and worked on my vehicle was completely honest with me on their pricing, what they would be doing and how long it would take. No bs and simple old fashioned service. You would be hard pressed to find those qualities in any shop. They also made sure to check out the rest of my car and found a couple things that two other mechanics had missed, then went on to explain to me in detail why these things were important. I would not only recommend Joe's but I would say you'd have to be crazy to visit any other business in the city for your automotive needs.

Really impressive work. After reading the reviews, I gave them a call. I asked their shop rate which I found was about the same from the three other places I had called in town. I described the problem (cracked connector to the negative battery terminal). I got a quote which seemed reasonable so made an appointment for the next day. They got my car in when they said they could, called me when it was ready (which was right when they said it would be) and to my amazement replaced both the connectors on the battery wires for a few bucks less than they quoted on the phone initially. I like the fact that they followed through on their word, were friendly and did really good work. I'm going to be coming back to them for brakes in the future.

I've been a client of Joe's before. I found out about this company because they hired a guythat went door to door selling coupons. They turned out to not be the best deal, but we got our money's worth. I also later took my car in for repairs and they did a good job. The bill was pretty expensive, $700+ to replace the belts and the front axle (I guess the rubber boots had worn out and sand got in the joints and was making it squeak really bad when I moved the wheel) and I was satisfied. Diagnostics work is a bit expensive. I'm not sure how many hours one should charge for hooking up a computer to the car and then walking away and working on another car at the same time, but it's the business. Another update. I have taken another vehicle into the shop and had some work on it. It was a fair price and they fixed what I asked them to fix. The problem came back, but I feel it was because the true cause wasn't found. I trust him enough to bring it back and try again. Overall, Joe is a great guy and I trust him. Cars, however, are less predictable.
